Weather & Season

April in North Idaho

April is one of the most exciting transitions of the year in North Idaho — snow retreats to the peaks, wildflowers start pushing through, and those long golden evenings return. It's the month locals dust off their hiking boots and finally get back out on the water.

Higher elevations still hold snow through mid-April, but lower trails and the lakefront are opening up beautifully. Pack a light layer — spring mornings can be crisp!
